Stop settling for an average life! You can become unstoppable, regardless of what life challenges come your way. Self improvement helps people accomplish their biggest goals and improve focus.

Many events and distractions compete for our attention. They try to get in the way of our goal setting. However, if you incorporate these four ways to improve focus, you will get more done quicker.

1. Create an Ultimate Outcome Statement

An ultimate outcome statement is one word or sentence. This statement clearly describes where you are heading. What is the summit of the mountain that you are climbing?

My Ultimate Outcome Statement is “To live an extraordinary life.” You can use powerful words to discover your Ultimate Outcome Statement or steal mine. This statement is the starting point of self improvement.

2. Describe Your Ultimate Outcome Statement

The second step to improve focus is the fun part. In this step, you fully visualize your ultimate outcome statement.

What do you want to accomplish? What do you want to feel? One of the feelings I want to experience is more fun.

I already have plenty of fun, but I can get a bit dull if you take work and parenting out. Figure out what you want in your life, and envision those experiences.

Consider what experiences you want to create. You can create extraordinary experiences. Some experiences are as simple as time at a campfire with your child.

Articulating your Ultimate Outcome Statement will help with goal setting and building willpower. We will become more attached to our goals. Emotionally connecting with our goals helps us accomplish key objectives despite life challenges.

3. What Is My Air?

Do you get tired of people saying, “What is your why?” In theory, it sounds good, but I got tired of hearing the same advice.

I wanted to make more significant changes in my life. That’s when I came up with something bigger than discovering my “why.”

Knowing our why doesn’t make us emotionally connected to our why. Most of us already know our why. We need to know something more than just our why. After hours of meditating, praying, visualizing, and soul searching, it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I knew I had to go after this extraordinary life. The commitment needs to be a 10/10, but not just for me. If I show up fully committed every day, I will be a good role model for my daughter.

“What is my air?” is about finding the next breathe you need to save your life. It becomes the most critical thing in your life. What is the one thing you will do anything to avoid?

That’s how you find your air. The keyword is anything. It’s the one thing that will push you outside of your comfort zone.

You will drive an Uber to pay for business coaching, take a course, or go back to school. No matter what life challenges show up, you will find a way. If you are not willing to do anything, you will find excuses.

What you want is what you want. What are you willing to do to achieve what you want?

4. Three Things

The pursuit of your ultimate outcome requires sacrifice. What are you willing to give up? When you gain a singular focus, you become an unstoppable force.

Part of goal setting is figuring out three things you’ll start doing and three things you’ll avoid. Identifying things to do and avoid will improve focus and help you achieve your goals.
